Chevron pillow

For: Our living room :) We’ve been living in our apartment for over a year, but I haven’t made it into a really cozy home (except for the cats). Let’s bring on the accessories!
Material: comfy Ikea pillow and 1/2 yard of ZigZag Twill Storm fabric and a 12-14″ zipper
Cost: $7 for a really comfortable pillow (my back is happy :)), $3.74 for the fabric and $2 for the zipper

Sewing this cushion didn’t take long, but the funny thing is, I had a harder time putting in the invisible zipper in this $3 fabric than in the $300 designer skirt (my first time of sewing in an invisible zipper). Talk about beginner’s luck ;).

A fairly continuous pattern (can anyone tell me what the correct English naming for a continuous flow would be??!). I notice that I’m getting a bit impatient when it comes to such details and didn’t really want to keep ripping the seam and try to improve the continuity.

Right at the last minute of finishing of this pillow I forgot the zipper pull was down, sew through the pull (see the damage in the picture) and broke a needle. Aargh! Oh well…
